This Cookie Policy explains how Chisels (the “Service”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you use the builder to create and run a store. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy. Each published store is operated by its owner, who is responsible for the cookies used on their own storefront.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a site stores in your browser. “Similar technologies” include local storage, which a site can use to remember your preferences on your device. We keep our use of both deliberately minimal.

2. Cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary: session. When you sign in, we set a signed session cookie so the Service knows it’s you on each request. Without it you can’t stay signed in. It is not used to track you across other websites. Because it’s essential, it’s always on and doesn’t require consent.
  • Functional: preferences. A published store may set a short-lived cookie to remember your chosen language. In the builder, small interface preferences (such as whether the sidebar is collapsed) are kept in your browser’s local storage, not sent to us. These are conveniences, not essential, so you can turn them off.
  • Analytics. Privacy-friendly, aggregated measurement of how the Service is used, to keep it reliable. It’s designed to be cookieless and does not build an advertising profile of you. You can turn it off.

We don’t use advertising cookies, and we don’t sell your information.

3. Your choices

Where consent is required by law (for example in the EU, EEA, and UK), we ask before using anything beyond the strictly-necessary session cookie, and you can accept all, reject the non-essential categories, or choose per category. You can review or change your choice at any time: .

4. Third-party services

Some features rely on third-party providers, for example, payments are handled by our payment processor at checkout. Those providers may set their own cookies when you interact with them, governed by their own policies. Payment details you enter at checkout are handled by the processor, not stored by us.

5. Managing cookies

You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and clear the preferences we keep in local storage the same way. Blocking the strictly-necessary session cookie will sign you out and stop the Service from working as intended.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service evolves. The “last updated” date above reflects the latest version.
